Welcome!
We are a group of researchers interested in genome function. We specifically focus on mechanisms of transcription and epigenetic regulation, how these processes are modulated by external signals, and why they lead to disease when altered.
We use a combination of high-throughput and targeted approaches from the fields of genetic, molecular biology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics and leverage the budding yeast and fruit fly model systems to examine these processes.

Our lab is located in the Biosciences Complex at Queen's University.
The Aristizabal laboratory is situated on traditional Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee Territory.
